So that didnt work as well as expected first time round, just adding 25% more base malt in the mash and then 25% extra water after the boil resulted in a slighly weeker beer with a bit less body. Still not bad but a backwards step in quality. Second attempt had a bit more cara pils and a longer thinner mash with more stiring. Result was pretty much the same, so I will need to increase base malt a bit or embrace this new thinner style of beer.
I batch sparge so was wondering would some continuous spargeing system make much difference, has anyone tried this on a grainfather.
