Mild! Plus by Ronald Pattinson

Decided to take a punt on this for £16 and already it is my equivalent to the Bible. In the short 70 out of 500+ pages I have read this afternoon I have a different world of tables, charts, percentages and words.

It covers everything from the beginning of the 18th century and how mild developed to today's modern interpretations.

I don't want to say too much until I've read some more but so far it's £16 very well spent.

Bonus, it has some good old British humour.

Cheers

I like the sound of that.

I'm all over Ron's bookshop, but I'm not sure which ones to get. Out of Mild! (223 pages) and Mild! plus (526 pages) I suppose I want Mild! plus. I'm confused by Porter! (740pp, hardback) and Porter! special edition (696pp, paperback). I'd go for the fatter one, but it's twice the price. What's in those 44 pages?

The postman's been, he's brought me Mild! Plus and Porter! (the paperback one, because it was cheaper).

That's over 1000 (a thousand) pages of excitement.

It is a thoroughly good book, I have read it twice and use it as a reference book for 1800's beers. My next adventure will be the Porter book and the Stout one of he does it.

Porter! mostly addresses Stout! as well, so it's all there in one book.
