Real ales for the home brewer - Marc Ollosson

While the Graham Wheeler and David Line recipe/clone books tend to get mentioned a lot this book should not be neglected. Written in a similar way to the other two books with well laid out recipes it tends to contain more smaller brewery's than the others, must admit several I have never heard of before. When I first bought this book several years back I had more or less stopped following set recipes in favour of designing my own so I have only tried a couple but they have turned out what I expected.

Yes highly recommended, the download pdf has been discontinued and it's now available as a paperback

and dies a jolly good fellow.

Looks like there's a new edition coming out, according to The Book Depository. I'll get one.

I got the download a while back. Made a brew or two from it and enjoyed them, interesting recipes ( and a lot of them ) I spent the time and printed them out into a 4 ring binder, as I tended to forget about it when it was just on computer.
It takes its place now on the " bookshelf " alongside the Wheeler book.

Orney Islands brewery beer, Dark Island I've found especially nice.

I proudly still support our old sponsors...( you know who )
