Agree with Rob on this one! Citra would be a great choice for single hop - galaxy, centennial, simcoe and mosaic would all be great alternatives.
I like to add 6-8% crystal as well in my APA's (30-60 L / 60-130 EBC) so its not too dry, but thats just personal preference.
Regarding dry-hopping, over the past few brews I have moved away from dry hopping and towards a big flame-out addition. I'm not a big fan of the 'green/grassy' taste you get when you drink dry-hopped beers early, so by using a similar sized flame out addition I get to drink my beer sooner!
If you wanted to use a whole 100g pack of hops, I would set aside 50g for a flame out addition - and then use the remaining 50g as a 60min and 10min additions to bring the IBUs to 35-40 (this is assuming a 5 gallon brew of course)
