Cofton Common Hybrid Lager

Just posting as this was requested in chat. We brew this as a core beer and it's popular with festivals and gets great ratings on untappd etc. It's a lager brewed with ale yeast then lagered somewhat to smooth it out and the resulting beer is delicious!

Ferment at 15c with Nottingham which will take around 5 days. Cold crash 2 days then store at low temp for 4 weeks before serving. Use lager malt if you can't find extra pale MO, sub hops with mittelfruh, hersbrucker, saaz etc if you like.

Thanks for that - I was just thinking about a lager to brew once it starts getting colder around Nov/Dec time. My cellar gets down to 3-5C during that time of year - perfect for lagering.

2016: 330L brewed (72 gallons, over 8 firkins)
2017: 105L brewed (need to update this figure)
Drinking: Landlord clone
Conditioning: ciders from 2016, hedgerow barrolo, 1914 Courage RIS (10%).
