Hi all
I'm looking to do something like GEM

MARIS OTTER MALT 3590 gms
OATS 200gms
CRYSTALMALT 320 gms
CHOCOLATEMALT 40 gms

Got this from another site (biab brewer I think) and made a change or 2!
I'm gonna use some English hops and keep them low(depends what I've got in stock!).
Bittering to about 30ibu.
Brewday is Friday.

This is what I've got so far after a look at what I've got in stock.
Papas a Gem (Old Ale)

Original Gravity (OG): 1.058 (°P): 14.3
Final Gravity (FG): 1.015 (°P): 3.8
Alcohol (ABV): 5.70 %
Colour (SRM): 17.7 (EBC): 34.9
Bitterness (IBU): 33.7 (Average)

86.33% Maris Otter Malt (6kg)
7.19% Flaked Oats (500g)
3.6% Crystal 230 (250g)
1.44% Chocolate (100g)
1.44% Rye Crystal (100g)

0.5 g/L East Kent Golding (6.7% Alpha) @ 90 Minutes (First Wort) (15g)
1.3 g/L Challenger (6.1% Alpha) @ 90 Minutes (Boil) (40g)
0.8 g/L East Kent Golding (6.7% Alpha) @ 10 Minutes (Boil) (24g)


Single step Infusion at 68°C overnight. Boil for 90 Minutes
Fermented at 20°C with Danstar Nottingham

It was good. We did a side by side tasting a little while ago and it was very close!
