Holdens Golden Glow

Hi all

I'm trying to help a friend formulate a recipe. He really likes Hobsons Golden Glow.

Does anyone have any suggestions for a recipe?

One of my favourites! Golden glow is brewed using just Maris Otter and Fuggles hops so it should be very easy to formulate a recipe. Enough malt for roughly 4.4%, english yeast and bittering hops to 35 IBU, then maybe 30g between 10 and 0 mins for aroma. sorted!

Cheers! 30 total or 30 each at those intervals?

Thanks Rob. Apparently it has a sweet caramel aftertaste. If there is purely marris otter used... how are they achieving this?

I guess something like caramalt or caragold will help, but probably just buzzwords. I never noticed much caramel!
