Latest effort from me, I've had the beer sitting at around 4c for about a month crystal clear and tastes very promising.

I've changed my styling a little bit, I wouldn't mind some advice on getting a better result, I have just used pictures from the web and publisher, printed on normal paper, perhaps a different paper would improve the look?

Like the look Rivvo, a glossier paper would make the colours and image more punchy, is that inkjet?

Thanks for the feedback, Monty I'm not sure if it's inkjet or laser tbh, what sort of glossy paper would still be easy to stick to the bottles please?

If they are done with a laser printer the ink generally doesn't run or bleed when it gets wet so you can use milk to stick them to glass bottles, I use 160gsm silk paper which is fairly thick as if the paper is too thin it can tear.
I get mine printed at a local copy shop they charge about 50p a sheet but I get 9 labels to a sheet and the labels come out really vivid.

Here's what I've come up with. Makes it interesting when you're giving bottles to friends and family.

When it 'looks' good I always think there is a greater perception of the food/drink 'tasting' good too. Sensory perception does play a part imo.

I know there's a recent trend of listing the type of grains and hops used in the brew, but to my mind it's only beer geeks like us who care - the average Joe just wants something to read on the bottle (if at all).

Thanks for the thumbs up though - I'm quite chuffed with the label design. Simple, but effective.

+1 from me on the label H, that is going to look great on the bottle, are you going to keep the theme for your other beers?

There are some awesome labels on this thread! I don't often do labels but have got my own crown caps from the US they are about 20p each so bearing in mind the beer costs less they are a bit pricey but a nice touch. Image

Your Labels

Postby NellyD » Wed Feb 10, 2016 18:32

I ordered them from https://www.bottlemark.com . Sorry I didn't put it up wasn't sure what the rules were about that sort of thing.

They are a really good quality cap and the service was excellent too.

Cheers

I got mine done at bottlemark too - great service, very quick and easy. They were literally the only place I could find, could find nowhere in the UK. I'm sure there is somewhere that will do custom crown caps in the UK, but I reckon it will be a case of ordering thousands.
