Beer Tasting

Postby Twenty Seven Brew » Fri Jan 25, 2019 23:23

I'm a new home brewer and am looking for like minded people to critique beers. My wife loves my beer but she can’t be deemed impartial. I live in Hitchin Hertfordshire.

I've played cards every Sunday night for the last 30+ years with the same group of real ale fanatics - can't beat them for beer critiquing! Unlike a lot of friends and neighbours, ale lovers give good feedback. I'm in Thame, Oxon so about 1 hour away from you.

Time to create a new chapter and all meet up at the letchworth brewery some day...it's closet one to Hitchin...we should ask them probably to...

You guys are lucky to have such a close community that's ready to give feedback (but then, who would say no to "hey, come there and there'll be free beer!"?); most people I know live abroad, and I donn't know anyone near my place that could try my beers, as most people already have their favourite commercial beers (and to be honest, they're powerful contenders to my amateur productions in terms of quality and taste)

I think of brewing as being similar to cooking. I brew because I like beer and I cook because I like food. I'm not that great at either, but I'm not trying to be. No-one expects you to open a restaurant just because you can make a decent lasagne.

Never enough time....
