Corny without temp control.

Postby itbrvilla » Mon Feb 26, 2018 13:03

Hi all,

I'm in the process of getting my kegs up and running. Unfortunately I'm not in the position to have a kegorator as I have at present have nowhere to put it permanently. I was thinking of knocking up an insulated box to fit the keg inside and maybe put a font on top. Has anyone done anything similar. My neighbour has a load of left over insulation board that I can have. I wondered if this would help reduce temp fluctuations and keep beer cooler.

cheers,

Ian

I use mini kegs in an insulated box made from similar insulation board and I love it. I keep a few bottles of water in the freezer and I am able to maintain temp pretty easily. I'd imagine once you've got your keg cold it would be even easier to look after because of the much larger thermal mass.
