No experience with wheat beers but I have made a cracking strawberry beer. from my knowledge you will get less flavour by putting it in the primary rather than secondary simply because the fermentation will overpower the flavours. how much did you add last time? its all dependant on the amount of fruit you add too. to bring the strawberry flavour out I needed 5kg for a 23l brew!!

German Pilsner, Guinness Clone, Chateau De Roi selection kit, Strawberry and lime cider.
