What are people using theirs for?

Dont they make bitter/ipa too cold?

What are people putting the ST1000 onto the front for?

Hi
i have a 2 product coil and python shelf cooler (M F Refridgeration)
i use the python to cool my 9 gallon cask of ale through a coil of 10mm copper pipe wrapped round the cask then i wrap the outside of that with metalised bubble wrap to insulate it
and i use the long product coil to chill my home brew turbo cider
i have modified my chiller so when mains 240V is on the python circulation pump is on all the time but the refridgeration system is controlled by a STC1000 this gives better control of the ice bank temprature and is more economical with the electricity consumption

What temp can you set for the output using the ST1000?

I am trying to limit the temperature of a bath of liquid to about 20°C (Not for brewing)

you can set the temp to what ever you require
there are 2 relays that are controled by the STC1000 (internally) one for heating and another for cooling
do a search on the forum you will find lots of information about them

I have used the ST1000's in brew-fridges but wonder how you could set the chiller to output non cold water.

you would use the heat output from the STC
you will need to put a heating element into the ice bath not sure if this is possaible or if the cooling equiptment would like the increase of temp above the abmient (not tryed it myself and what temprature where you thinking of running it at?)
in theory then the STC would either heat or cool the ice bath and the circulation pump would pump it round what ever you where using it for

Or you could just use the cooling coil to turn on the cooling if required?

I am thinking of using it to cool a laser cutter laser tube.
