Corny lid O Ring supplier?

I know that this has been asked before but there's a chance some one has found a supplier since then.

Any luck with a genuine 1/4" X Section ring?

I was wanting some silicone "O" rings for the lid and came across these in the U.S. £18:10 for 10 delivered. They seal with absolute minimum pressure which is what I wanted. :

Cheers.

Ive got a link to an old Aussie brewers website where someone has gone to the trouble to identify all?most of the orings used including a number of poppet options so you can use ebay oring supliers to buy 50x of each for a fraction of the cost in softer silicone, though the rings are the hardest to track down, and i ended up doing a big order from candirect to include them @ something like £2 a pop iirc..

dont expect many links to work from this page due to its age..

Thanks all, I'm sorted for all but the lid seal and I'll probably get that from the US.

be careful ordering multiple cheap items from the US. in my lilited experience with US sellers (including ebay) they are scruplesly honest with values entered on customs forms for UK deliveries and if the total inc shipping is over the £15 iirc vat limit you will get an extra charge and perhaps a courier handling fee so 5 x individually purchased and shipped oring kits can be cheaper in the long run than 5x in one order for example.

I get my spares from the Hop and Grape in Darlington, full seal kit for £3.16

https://www.hopandgrape.co.uk/cornelius ... s-set.html

I feel, in the interests of impartiality, that I should add that I have no connection with the H&G other than as being a satisfied customer!

That is almost perfect but I also need the poppet O ring. Anyone know what size they are?

I don't think they are the same from keg to keg.Maybe a universal poppet would be better. Just a thought.

You're right, they are not the same from keg to keg. I got myself BS008 and BS007 before finally giving in and ordering universal poppets. If trying to swap the O-rings on existing poppets, you need to be very motivated by the desperately fiddly.

Original O-rings are not subject to a lot of wear so many people leave them alone. But poppet design can be pretty crude and the O-ring can get very deformed (if you have square section O-rings don't bother looking for square section replacements 'cos they were more likely round section originally).

(EDIT: Have a look at http://forum.craftbrewing.org.uk/viewtopic.php?f=53&t=10701#p141422 too).

Only just seen this, so, the sorry for the slow reply.my reason for giving the information was that I have one keg at least with poppet seals that cannot be I. D.'d due to deformity but are obviously not likely to be the same as others that I have.
