John Guest 3/8 Push Fit

Postby MattN » Thu Nov 02, 2017 20:43

Hi Folks

Does anyone know where I can buy one of these. I have found a couple of suppliers online but could ideally do with it tomorrow, I have checked online with B&Q, Screwfix and Homebase so if you have any suggestions I would appreciate it.

I need a Female 3/8 (from gas) to a 3/8 (to tube)

Cheers

Matt

Where are you? If you're in a mega rush somewhere like Harry Mason, a1barstuff or copper kettle will probably stock it with quick delivery or even pickup. You're unlikely to get them at plumbing places at this size

Otherwise try a local gas wholesaler like BOC. Sure they'll have some lying around...

Thanks Rob, I am in the Northwest. I asked the gas supplier where I just got my cylinder from and they didn't supply any fittings. If I don;t have any joy tonight I will order online, I am just a bit worried about the FV that has been ready to keg/bottle for a couple of weeks. (I donated all my bottles last week!!!) LOL (not)

Cheers

Have a look on Amazon and see if you can find a fitting with prime delivery, then sign up for a free trial and it should be there tomorrow that way. Not sure what you're after exactly, sounds like a coupler?

Thanks Rob

I have prime membership, unfortunately the only ones on there have male connectors.

I think that I will have to order online tomorrow and prey for a quick delivery.

Ok so the JG 3/8 fitting arrived in the post today, however doesn't fit onto the regulator. The JG fitting has 3/8 stamped on it so I am sure that is correct. I have tested the regulator with a 3/8 stop end that I have and that fits too.

No matter what I have tried, I can't get the JG fitted to the reg.

All suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Regards

Matt

Can you post a pic of your regulator fittings Matt. You might want a JG regulator adapter

I removed mine with 2 very strong grips (it's pretty firm) and replaced it with this.

Hi Rob

I really appreciate the reply. At the time you posted it I was at the local plumbers merchant learning all about compression fittings...

Anyway, it is all working now (off to fit a new bathroom lol)

Thanks
