Get 'er Brewed

Postby Mark » Tue Jul 07, 2015 18:25

Has any one used Get 'Er Brewed?

They seem really cheap. E.g. 25kg Weyermann Bohemian Pils malt - £25, Maris otter £21, most hops under £3, postage less than MM (sorry Rob)

I wonder why they're not mentioned much on here, they seem like excellent value. Is their service shoddy?

There fine, they had a comp over the new year, and I won a mash kit from them.
Used them several times, cheap and good service.

Prices look ok but I'd worry what the base malt is like.

I have issues with the Irish malt, but others don't. If you are buying a "named" malt there should be no problems.

I won a ag kit from them and was nice and easy to do. I found a lack of info with the kit (no weights of malts or hops). Maybe it was so you can't make it cheaper then the kit.
I would use them again when I plan my next brew

I use them often as they are my local homebrew shop and I've always found them pretty good, very reasonable pricing and good service :thumb:

3x to send the right hops, grain bags burst again - soft crap plastic bags, long delivery, poor/no vac on hops
no longer blinded by the price

No problems with them for me, their own pale malt has been fine, delivery cheap and quick. I for one will use them again.

I've ordered from them 3 times found everything excellent quality and value especially when they've had sales on. The Irish family base malt has not let me down and is proving a good find, my last sack was £15!

Only one pack of hops wasn't quite fully VAC packed and I've had one bag of malt split but I put this down to parcel mishandling by couriers as I've had it from other homebrew companies too and it's easy and cheap enough to rebag anyway.

I know when I need restocking where I'll be ordering from....

Ordered from there before, fine with me! Great hops and well labelled malts. Just make sure you check everything you have ordered is crushed before checking out :)

Their hops looked ridiculously cheap.. then I realised their default pack size is 50g!

The Base malts have reported issues with efficiency I've used them but not for the Base malts. Service was decent too

After my fiasco with their cheap Irish malt, I tried the MO mix, much better, getting results I would expect from Crisp/Baird etc.

I've often used the Chateau and Weyermann base malts with good results, also they've a very good Wyeast selection.
