5 "schnapps"

A designated driver would probably appreciate something made just for them

5 "schnapps"

I've bought a 500ml bottle of 95%abv spiritus from the local polish shop, the plan is to water it down with 750ml water (making 38% spirit) and splitting it to add the following 5 flavours
Black Pepper
Ginger
Cinnamon
Lemon Balm
Thyme
Sadly can't do all 5 at once, I don't have enough containers to do that, but plan on doing the pepper and cinnamon ones to kick off with.

Really 95% abv? Wow, only seen %proof that high before.

Never enough time....

Yup, 95%abv, cost £24 from the local polish shop. Not too bad considering it made 1.25L 38% spirit.
The highest I'd seen before that was 80% absinthe or rum, generally at much higher cost too.

The thyme is now bottled. First impressions is that it's an unusual flavour, not what I imagined it would be like, but not unpleasant. There's a sweetness to it, especially in the smell that I was really surprised by. It's a bit rough still, definitely needs a bit of aging.

Just bottled the lemon balm (two days after I was supposed to) and the cinnamon. These are both far better than the thyme (so far). The lemon balm comes in quite strongly, but very pleasantly, once you swallow it, very refreshing, it'd make a very good drink for after a heavy meal or, even better, a heavy dessert. The cinnamon is beautiful, it tastes exactly like you'd expect it to. Lots of lovely cinnamon flavour, a bit of heat, gorgeous.
