A fine beer may be judged with only one sip, but it's better to be thoroughly sure.

I assume they've crystallised some booze, somehow? Or what?

Interesting idea, but a bottle of vodka is already small and light enough to be portable... Not that it ever leaves the kitchen cupboard.

Although I did see the yanks had approved it and then withdrawn the approval. No doubt big business and tax issues got their way.

I read that somebody had got their wires crossed, they had only approved the packaging and not the product.

But if you take an H2O from an ethanol molecule you are left with C2H4 ethane - which is a gas.

That wouldn't be how they did it, but pure ethanol is a liquid in the first place, they've probably got some form of crystal that can absorb ethanol, but is either water soluble, or just dissolves in larger volumes than what they've put in.
