Flavoured sugar wash shelf life.

If I make a ~13% sugar lentil wash and then flavour it with an essence how long will it last once opened?

Normal spirits last ages but are general double the abv. Any ideas?

If you add a stabiliser it should last a fair while I would have thought.

You shouldn't need a stabiliser unless you were adding some flavouring which contained fermentable sugars.

I would imagine storage once opened would be measured in weeks rather than days or months.

How come wine keeps then if it's around the same percentage?

Wine doesn't keep once it's opened. It oxidises fairly quickly once opened,

I think that's gonna be the best bet. Don't have to drink so much so fast.

I'm gonna have a play with some cheap vodka to see what the flavours are like first.

Thanks for the help guys.
