Pineapple turbo cider

Is this too simplified?

80% Apple juice

20% Pineapple juice

Strong tea for tannins

Citric acid for tartness

fermented with white wine yeast.

You don't think pineapple has enough acidity on its own? I'm supposed to be starting a pineapple wine this week and the recipe includes citric, can't help wondering why, I've always thought of pineapples as having a good chunk of acid of their own. Maybe it's just me.

I've done a 100% pineapple cider with no additions, turned out OK.

I'll go without the citric acid in that case. Will I need yeast nutrient or can I go without?

I'd put nutrient in.

adding it anyway, and not needing it, is far better than not adding it and finding later that you should have done.
it's not going to have a negative affect, if you add it and it's not needed.

consider it to be a bit like insurance.

Global average carbon emissions - one ton per person per year.
Current emissions in UK – 9 tons per person per year!
Eight million tons of plastic dumped into the oceans. Every year!

As in just pineapple juice and yeast? I'd love to hear more about that...

Made mine up last week.

3 litres apple juice

2 litres of pineapple

250g sugar

500ml of strong black tea

Got an OG of 1.060 and after 3 days or so it had a lovely foamy head/krausen.
