Wine, Cider, Misc, brewed in 2017

Postby Crastney » Tue Sep 12, 2017 12:03

New Thread started, a bit late!

I've just pressed apples and have a full FV, 2 DJs and I had 14 bottles of Apple juice that I pasteurised. giving a total of about 10 gallons.

Total - 10 gallons

Global average carbon emissions - one ton per person per year.
Current emissions in UK – 9 tons per person per year!
Eight million tons of plastic dumped into the oceans. Every year!

Still a little early for apple crops in North Yorks - by the end of the month it will be spot on though and I'll be stripping the local supply.

2016: 330L brewed (72 gallons, over 8 firkins)
2017: 105L brewed
Drinking: store-bought beer as my bar is dry
Conditioning: choc-coffee oatmeal wheat stout, various ciders, cherry 'brett' brown ale, imperial Pilsner.
Fermenting: Bock (6.5%), IPA (5.5%), Pale Ale (4.5)
