Covered alot of ground there phil :thumb:
I used immersions in my big build, used welded and brazed on bosses. I have in mind to try next time with those screwed rings from Toolstation, anyone gone down that route? Don't know if you could tighten them up enought to form a seal. :hmm:

My pots arrived from Germany this week:

Managed to get in an order for some of the Brew Builder 2.4kW elements today too. They've been out of stock for a while, so I decided I'd get in quick before they all disappeared again.

Many of the sizes for the standard pots are here: http://www.brewbuilder.co.uk/index.php?_a=product&product_id=101.

The thermopots are the same diameter but a few centimetres taller I think.

I got my order in, via ebay, 29th dec 2014. I posted about it on jims. but it's good news for all that wished they had got a shiny pot, but they stopped sending to the uk.

Anyway,,let the new conversions roll, :cheers1:

Delivered to the Heelands the total cost for the pair was £82.45, an absolute steal in my eyes.
Everything that's been said about Catering Portal is true, excellent service, quick delivery and obviously superb prices.
Order away folks, who know how long they'll be supplying the UK.

I haven't ever seen a better price, I believe these are the same pots as some UK retailers sell for a higher price.
I use two of the 70L pots for my HLT and boiler and one of the 50L thermopots as a mash tun. No complaints from me.

I take it these pots don't come with taps on them no? Reading above the thermo ones have taps but do the stock pots come with them.

no taps and the thermopot taps are side enrty rather than the prefered bottom drain, BUT as loads of folk have made the mod 20-21mm qmax punch cutters are spread fairly wide around so the chance of a local brewer close at hand is fairly high ;) and if you need hand holding thru the first cut (i did) u will get it (i did)

That's all I did, they were very quick to respond with confirmed prices.
When you confirm you'd like to place an order they generate an invoice with a hyperlink, all very easy and straight forward.
Just watch for the automated emails that are all in German!
