Forum 1/2" Q Max Cutter

Postby bobsbeer » Tue Aug 12, 2014 17:49

Some time ago a member (the name has been lost in the mists of time), donated a 1/2" Q Max cutter to the forum. The plan was that whoever wanted it next posted on the thread and pm'd the last person to have it with name & address details. The person with the Q Max then posted it onto the next person. When they had finished using it they looked or posted on the thread it was available, and then posted it to the next person. Things seemed to have gone quiet on this, but it turns out Kev has it and is waiting to hear from the next person who wants it. So please post on here if you would like it and PM Kev. Any problems pm one of the Mods for assistance.

Enjoy.

Wasn't there an element of charity-ing involved too? Weren't people making a couple of quid donation to a rattly can of their choice when they used it?

Wouldn't it be cool if we kept a tally (like the gallons of beer) of how much the Qmax makes?

Yes I think you are right. It's been so long since it was in circulation I had forgotten that part.

Great idea :thumb:

A fine beer may be judged with only one sip, but it's better to be thoroughly sure.

I have a 32.5mm Q-Max cutter which can be donated.

This fits various Camco USA elements which have 1" NPT

That's very generous. Thank you. You may want to start a seperate thread so it doesn't get lost in the mix.

Just for clarification, exactly what size is this cutter? I assume it is for 1/2" BSP and so is around 21mm rather than 12.7mm.

It's 20mm IIRC.

Be on its way back to ArmChair, later today. Did try to post it just now but the sub po was closed.

BTW my 1/2" elbow fittings work fine in this hole, but the 1/2" male-male couplers I have are too large to screw in, weird. Even though they screw in to the elbow fitting.
Just have to open it up a little for my tap connector.
