I have been doing 40 lts BIAB batches for the last 3 years. I felt it was the right time to build a 3V system. I bought a 70lts s/s kettle but this ended up becoming a HLT because the s/s keggle I acquired turned out to have rust I side (even filling it with oxalic acid for a month did not remove it) the mash tun is a pre made igloo 42 lts.

Nice setup

Pipework is silicone and I have used s/s fittings throughout. I have fitted a false bottom in my aluminium keggle and I have 2 s/s circulation pumps for the mash tun and the boiler. I have tested everything out and now only need to fit the lagging and I will be ready to go. I have used the Peco elements.

I have used a set of scales on the HLT to measure the liquor.
