Thermowell or not

Postby haggis51 » Sat Mar 24, 2018 14:40

Hi all,
Thinking of fitting a dial thermometer on my Burco boiler(s). Do you folk recommend fitting a thermowell as well (excuse the pun). Pros & cons please.

I have a thermowell on my stainless steel fermenter but not my boiler.

Hi Dennis,
Have you noticed if a thermowell affects the temperature in any way, and did you fit it yourself?
Cheers,

Mine came built in. I put the probe from an inkbird temperature control unit into it and it seems to be accurate to within .5c.
