HOW TO VIDEOS: Thermopot Mash Tun Conversion

Hi All,
I finally got around to building my thermopot mash tun and made a little video of the process (also, first time on the forum in at last six months or so due to the dodgy malware alerts - happy to see it now all seems to be working!).

I'd be really grateful for any likes, subscribes and comments you'd be kind enough to leave - trying to get a few bits up on YT over the coming weeks.

Yes well done, clear instuctions on how to do the job. Thing I don't get is that 93 viewed the vidio and only 3 bothed to say anything. Did the other 90 not like it, doubt it and from the title they knew what they would be getting. :scratch:
It is a forum here not a reading room, was the way I understand it . :D

I did a bottom draining mash Tun like this last year using pretty much the same equipment and tools. What I found difficult was getting a good seal at the drain and the base of the tun. I don't seem to have any tool that could fit into the drain to give it an extra turn. Any suggestions?

The drain I bought had two little lugs inside the bore. A large screwdriver is enough to get a good grip on the tun side, holding the elbow on the other side got me a leak free join. Tested it with about 30L of water for a week and no leaks at all.

It's up to over 400 views now and still only three comments. I guess if people disliked it they'd hit the dislike button. Thankfully 100% thumbs up so far.

I liked and subbed a while ago. Sorry I forgot to come back here and comment. Great video, but I'd appreciate a little narration for extra detail. It's certainly got me thinking about a similar build.

I'm toying with doing another thermopot build, you did yours slightly differently to the way I did first time round as I went for a completely flush bottom (on the inside). It was a PITA to do and probably not completely necessary. Do you have a link for the deck fitting?

A fine beer may be judged with only one sip, but it's better to be thoroughly sure.
