Temp controller beeping

Postby MrBoy » Mon Jul 10, 2017 11:35

I have an Inkbird controller with my fridge and a small tube heater plugged in. It's always worked reliably but recently, it's started beeping a few times a day... just a single double-beep. It's hard to be sure as we're never there but I think this is coinciding with it starting/ending a cooling cycle. But I'm certain it never used to do this.

Less often but still maybe once a day, it starts running the alarm sound - but only for a couple of seconds. Having checked, it is nowhere near the alarm thresholds.

It appears to be working otherwise but I'm worried it may be a fault and I should consider asking for a replacement... can anyone weigh in? Maybe there's some secret mode I activated inadvertently?!

Inkbird beeping is normally a sign its not happy with the thermocouple connection. Try remaking the connections. If you disconnect it whilst still powered up it gets a right strop on! :nono:
