Cheap(ish) Qmax Cutter

Just picked up a Qmax hole punch for myself from Cromwell tools which seem to be by far the cheapest around just incase anybody else is looking...

Are you using it to make holes in kettels? I always used a cheap chinese step drill bit, which is a bit of a hassle.

Yup. Really nice clean hole for the 2.4kw ss elements most places sell (same company sells a ton of different sizes). Just use a v. small drill bit to get an accurate start point and then open it up to 12mm. Fit the punch and tighten with an Allen key

Just something to add - try using some grease when you use a hole-punch, makes it quicker and easier. I used to regularly punch holes in guitar amplifier chassis and this was a life saver. Gives you a cleaner cut too.
