That's what stainless steel jubilee clips are for.

Really there is no need to sterilise anything pre boil and a copper chiller put in 15 mins before the end will be sanatised. The only thing copper wise you need to worry about is any pipe work used to transfered chilled wort to the fv or any copper pies and taps in the fv. I have always used videne but I have bought some starsan but I do have copper in my FV . So back to the videne I think.

I am a videne man myself, never let me down yet. :D , but like Grays bought some Starsan. I use it for bottling, ............don't know why, maybe to go trendy :) but videne has never let me down for any of my purposes, as I said :)

Hello ren I think theres a place for star San but not with copper I use star San for my kegs and fermenter but it does foam up a lot I know there is a low foam type and I think the malt miller does a acid based sanitizer.
I will try viodene

Might go for a mag pump from Angel homebrew and stick a ball valve on it to control the flow try that route

Why it won't be sterile within in 10 minutes of you sterilising it.

I usually clean everything after brewery and sanitize only my fermenter and siphoning equipment just to prevent mould and sutch like.
Brew kettle. Gets a good clean and I usually take the ball valve off and boil it 20 mins before I start brewing just to be safe .but mostly sanitize on brew day and leave everything in star San just before use

Sanitising an db being left for a while won't prevent mould, it will only prevent colonisation by microbes for a short length of time. You are better if making sure it is clean and kept dry.
