Not had that problem before. Check your connections would be my only suggestion.

all checked and soldered bob i dont understand why its doing that. The top display or PV should be a gradual climb not jumping around like it has been

according to auber where we got the probe it needs setting to 50 hertz. Ive done that and will retest wednesday as im off work. Its reading 22 degrees sat on the kitchen units but when the herms is running and the pump is on the PV display goes mad.

This sounds strange Mark, I would try it in some boiling water to see what it does. :thumb:

I know very little about pid at the mo but I note the alarm 2 light was flashing too. Im guessing you have triple checked the wiring?

A fine beer may be judged with only one sip, but it's better to be thoroughly sure.

Have you got the right probe selected in the controller?, failing that could be the probe is dodgy or even the controller

As setting it to 50Hz han't cured the issue you could have some RFI issues. . . check your earth connections Everywhere, then change the FiLt setting . . . in menu 0089

Is it a 3 wire probe? If so you have wired it correctly?? If its 2 wire done forget that you have to bridge the two terminals on one side of the probe connection

all the parameters have been set according to the manual Tony. Auber seem to think its because USA operate at 60 hertz and our electrical supply is 50 hertz. Ive altered the settings accodingly. Its a 3 wire one

we have 1 blue wire 1 white wire 1 orange wire from the pt100. These go to white =10 on the pid blue = 9 and the orange goes to 8. Will look at the digital filter settings in the am :thumb:
