Back to brewing and loving it!

Hi all
I'd lost you all... but managed to find Muddy Disco on Twitter - he sent me this way. Anyone here from the old days at the THBF?

Anyway, I'm back to it with 80 pints of stout a couple of weeks back, and now just chilling my version of Trashy Blond, thanks to those lovely people at Brewdog... here's the recipe with a slight worry of no outright aroma hops... have to see how that goes.. will dry hop when I've decided how many!

Here's the recipe...

Freedog No.1
Batch Size: 28.00 l
6 kg Pale Malt, Maris Otter
0.6 kg Munich Malt
0.3 kg Caramalt
20.00 g Amarillo Gold Boil 60.0 min
18.5 g Simcoe Boil 60.0 min
0.56 tsp Irish Moss (Boil 10.0 mins)
35 g Amarillo Gold - Boil 10.0 min
25 g Motueka - Boil 5.0 min
1 pkg American Ale (Wyeast Labs #1056)

Est Original Gravity: 1.055 SG
Est Final Gravity: 1.015 SG
Estimated Alcohol by Vol: 5.3 %
Bitterness: 41.0 IBUs
Est Color: 10.9 EBC

Nice to be back among friends!

Yes, most of us! There was a mass exodus during the takeover, primarily because the chat room was removed I think. Good to see you again, Looks very nice mate - I've just brewed a Moteuka beer on the big kit and the fermenter smells amazing!

Hey Rob, great to see you! Missed chatting with everyone... and the chat room was great - is there one here? Or is that 'The Brewer's Arms'? Just seen it at the top - may have a look in. Be nice to chat Villa's shortcomings with Wes again if he's still around.
The Moteuka hops are fantastic smelling, will have to do something more with them.. what was your recipe? I was really chuffed with the Simcoe, never used them before (ummm .. at least I don't think so...), what an amazing wiff off them... my kids were insisting I use them again, and they're far too young to drink!

We don't need to talk about the villa results any more I've had enough!! Just a load at the end really, Vienna and extra pale malts. The aroma is a strange mix of fruit and mint that's very appealing. Yeah simcoe is fantastic man!

Hey brewington... were you over at the old place and using a similar pic?
I read up on all the details last weekend, it looks absolutely amazing, I even tried explaining to the kids how exciting it would be there! It does look amazing, I need to work on convincing the missus!
