Execptional Lady

Today's brew.....
Brewed and named after my neighbours mum who died last week aged 89.. RIP Renee. X
12.5 kg Muntons Pilsner malt
550g Light crystal malt
500g Munich malt
500g Wheat malt
80g Marynka 8.5%
30g Pilgrim 11%
40g Centennial 10.9%
50g Bramling Cross pellets 4% (30 mins)
Fermenting
9 gallon with Nottingham
4 gallon Mangrove Jacks M44 (US West Coast)
OG:1058
BB
If nice will brew again for the festival.

Sorry about late reply....
All 60 mins except the Bramling Cross pellets...
Turned out great, Mangrove Jack produced a totally different brew to my trusty workhorse yeast Nottingham...
Mangrove made it taste more like a lager, a good Belgium blonde.

That sounds good. Did you prefer the M44 beer to the Nottingham beer? When you say Belgian, do you mean Belgian yeast flavour?

Both nice but has you probably know Nottingham is quite a neutral beer yeast so lets the flavour of the malt and hops shine... M44 to my taste gave it a strong Stella Artois flavour that is quite nice..... So I feel as tho I've two different brews, one is a nice pale ale and the other a cross between pale ale and lager..
Both nice in different ways, and would do it again, M44 cleared quick too!!

Old Bernard for the bar...... Might enter This brew in the comp but waiting to see what it's like from the 5 gallon I bottled.....
